Longhorn and Lace logo design wth western boutique elements

LONGHORN + LACE

Brand identity and logo design for Longhorn + Lace, an online boutique offering a curated selection of clothing, jewelry, and lifestyle products. The project focused on a full rebrand that maintains the brand’s southern boutique aesthetic while introducing a more refined and cohesive visual identity.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Longhorn + Lace is an online boutique centered around a southern-inspired aesthetic, offering a range of products from apparel to accessories and home goods. The goal of the project was to reimagine the existing brand identity while preserving its core style and customer appeal. The updated identity needed to feel more cohesive and elevated, while clearly reflecting the brand’s balance between bold, western-inspired elements and softer, more delicate design cues.

DESIGN APPROACH

The design approach focused on visually expressing the contrast within the brand name itself, balancing strength and softness. A custom brand mark was developed by combining the structured form of a longhorn skull with the delicate, flowing qualities of a wheat leaf, creating a unified symbol that reflects both western and feminine influences. The use of a line-based illustration style reinforces the boutique aesthetic while keeping the mark versatile and refined. The logotype continues this balance, pairing a bold serif typeface for “Longhorn” with a more delicate, cursive script for “Lace.” This combination creates a cohesive identity that feels both grounded and elegant, aligning with the brand’s product offering and overall visual direction.
