
TOYOTA EVENT PATCHES
Custom illustrated patch and decal designs created for a Toyota brand activation event in San Diego. The project focused on developing a cohesive collection of SoCal-inspired graphics that reflect the lifestyle, culture, and environment of the region while aligning with Toyota’s brand.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
This project involved creating a collection of 8–10 illustrated designs to be used as patches and decals for a Toyota pop-up event in San Diego. The goal was to design a series of graphics that could function both individually and as a cohesive set, capturing the laid-back, coastal lifestyle associated with Southern California. Each design needed to be bold, recognizable, and adaptable for physical production, ensuring clarity and impact across both patches and decals.
DESIGN APPROACH
The design approach focused on building a cohesive visual language rooted in Southern California culture. Each piece incorporates recognizable elements such as surfboards, waves, palm trees, off-road vehicles, and sunset color palettes, translating them into simplified, bold illustrations suited for patch and decal production. A consistent use of color, line weight, and composition was applied across the collection to ensure the designs feel unified while still allowing each piece to stand on its own. The result is a versatile set of graphics that work across multiple formats and reinforce a strong lifestyle-driven brand presence.
